After Barry picked up the crate from the warehouse, he took it directly to Bolton where he was going to enlist the help of his nephew to assemble it.

He told me he was going to do it over the weekend and as Barry is one of those strong and silent types, since I hadn’t heard from him all weekend I tried calling (twice) on Monday to no avail. Failing that I thought I would leave a message for Joanne, who promptly returned it saying that the trishaw had been assembled!! I was in a quandry, how was I going to pick it up? Where was I going to store it? Where was Barry???
True to form, Barry had been busy renting a U-Haul trailer to bring Klare home! I had to finish morning appointments and when he called for my address he was 20min away. By the time I got home he and Joanne had already unloaded Klare and he was busy installng the canopy. At first I didn’t recognize him with his COVID mop of hair but soon caught on to his ‘all business’ mode.
Klare is a thing of beauty, laying eyes on it for the first time as our own and not a model being displayed or a picture on a website. But I realized why he needed to rent a trailer. It was almost impossible to lift off the ground with two people! We would need a proper ramp if using the van or a proper trailer. The dimensions too were a concern as the handle bar could not be lowered any further and would obstruct loading since the back hatch of the Previa van narrows to the top.
My neighbour Elton was summoned for his technical expertise and together we devised a plan that might just work. I will write about it if it does! As for storage, I had to minimize my tool racks in the garage and it fitted in with a few inches to spare. You can see all our pictures and videos on my Google Photos Album.
